Why Integrate eDVIR? Step-by-Step Guide Adding the Ryder eDVIR User Share the Database Name

This article covers how to integrate eDVIR for Geotab customers.

 

Why Integrate eDVIR?

  • Integration Flexibility: Ryder integrates with all leading eDVIR systems. 
  • Automated Defect Reporting: eDVIR integrates directly with Ryder's shop system, eliminating double entry of issues.
  • Stay DOT Compliant: Repair dispositions are synced back to your eDVIR system to stay DOT compliant.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Log in to MyGeotab and go to People > Clearances from the Menu (if you don’t see this, go to Admin > Users > Clearances).
  2. Select the “Nothing” Clearance, and select Add Sub-Clearance.
  3. Name it Ryder eDVIR.
  4. In the search box below the name, type “Asset” and enable the following features:
    1. Administer Asset Inspection logs
    2. Mark Asset Inspection logs as certified
    3. Mark Asset Inspection logs as repaired
    4. Perform Asset Inspections
    5. View Asset Inspection logs
    6. List assets
    7. View Asset status information
    8. View Untracked Assets

     5. Select Save.

 

Adding the Ryder eDVIR User

  1. In MyGeotab go to People > Users & Drivers (if you don’t see this, go to Admin > Users).
  2. Select Add and enter the following:
    1. User: sa_geotab_edvir@ryder.com.
    2. First Name: RyderConnect.
    3. Last Name: eDVIR Service Account.
    4. Auth Type: MyAdmin (Reseller Support).
    5. Security Clearance: Ryder eDVIR Service Account.
    6. Groups: (Optionally select a Group associated with Ryder assets).

     3. Select Save.

 

Share the Database Name

Email ryderconnect_onboarding@ryder.com with your database name, found in the top right corner of your MyGeotab account under your username.
