Quick Links
The RyderGyde™ Readings allow you to enter and monitor vehicle readings required by Ryder for variable rate billing on leased vehicles and trailers.
Ryder pulls readings from multiple systems, and RyderGyde™ not only provides visibility to the readings; it allows customers to manually enter them as well. Customer-centered readings are prioritized over other reading sources if they are entered on time within the current billing cycle.
For Fleet Managers
Understanding Readings

Reading categories
- Odometer: Trucks and tractors.
- Hubometer: Trailers.
- Reefer hours: Engine hours on refrigerated vehicles. Engine hours for yard tractors are entered here.
- Standby hours: Electric standby time for refrigerated vehicles.
Telematics Readings
If your vehicle is equipped with a telematics device, readings can be automatically pulled into RyderGyde™, so you don't have to manually enter them. Readings will automatically be pulled two days before the end of the billing period. Linked vehicles will display an icon in the Telematics column.
Optionally, you can override the telematics readings by manually entering them. To connect your telematics system, please visit go.ryder.com/fleetsync to see if your system is eligible, and follow instructions to activate.
Using the Readings Page
From the readings page, you can view, enter, or bulk upload readings.

- All Vehicles: All units. This may be used to help keep up with PMs for units that are not on variable rate billing.
Bulk Upload
If you have more than 25 vehicles, you may find it more convenient to enter readings in a spreadsheet and upload. Use the bulk upload page to download a template that includes your vehicle numbers, enter the readings, and upload.
Entry Log
Access historical reading entries to see who made the updates and how.
Tip: Readings in KM vs. MPH
Readings are based on a vehicle's base domicile location. If a vehicle is from the United States and was taken to Canada, then readings will show as MPH. If a vehicle is from Canada and was taken to the US, readings will show as KM. These values cannot be changed, and they also show up in billing.
Common Questions
Do I need to manually enter readings for all vehicles?
No. If you've connected your telematics system with Ryder, odometer readings are automatically recorded. Manual entry is only required for vehicles that are not connected, and that currently includes any reefer or standby hour readings.
Can I enter readings for multiple vehicles at once?
Yes. Updates are saved as you enter readings for each unit.
Can I upload rental readings from the readings page?
Yes. Rental readings can be uploaded if they are a part of your lease account.
How do I export my readings?
To export current readings, go to the Readings page, click the Download icon, and select your export format (CSV, Excel, or Print).
Where can I see prior readings for a vehicle?
Click on the unit number link for a vehicle to view Vehicle Details, and go to the Readings tab. You'll be able to see past readings and optionally filter to readings used for billing purposes only.
How can I switch KM to MPH in RyderGyde?
Readings are based on a vehicle's base domicile location. If a vehicle is from the United States and was taken to Canada, then readings will show as MPH. If a vehicle is from Canada and was taken to the US, readings will show as KM. These values cannot be changed, and they also show up in billing.
