This article provides an overview of how to manage invoice payments and related account activities. It outlines the available payment methods, including ACH and credit card, along with guidance on making full or partial payments, scheduling future payments, and approving invoices. In addition, it covers how to track payment history, cancel scheduled payments, submit and manage disputes, and view or resend account communications and reports.
ACH Payments
To submit a payment through ACH, follow the steps below:
- Sign in to ryder.com.
- Select the invoice you wish to pay by selecting the check box in front of its row. (If you would like to pay multiple invoices at the same time, select all applicable invoices.)
- Select the Payment button. The payment options window will show. Verify the payment amount for each invoice.
- After you confirm each invoice and payment amount, select Pay by ACH and select PAY. The ACH Bank Information on file will display for all accounts you selected invoices under.
- Confirm the Routing #, Bank Account #, and Account Type are accurate and select OK. A confirmation window will display all bank accounts that will be debited after this transaction is processed along with the respective amount.
- Confirm the last 4 digits of the bank account(s) used and ensure funds are available to cover the amount shown, and select OK to process your ACH payment. If you need to correct the bank information, select CANCEL to go back to ACH Bank Information.
- A final completion message confirms the ACH payment was submitted.
Tip: ACH Payments
It may take up to 24 hours before your ACH payment will reflect on the balance of your account. In the meantime, invoices with a payment pending will show above the invoice numbers paid. ACH payment is only available if banking information has previously been added for the company.
Credit Cards
To submit a payment with a credit card, follow the steps below:
- Select the invoice you wish to pay by selecting the check box in front of its row (If you would like to pay multiple invoices at the same time, select all applicable invoices).
- Select the Payment button. The payment options window will show. Verify the payment amount for each invoice.
- After you confirm each invoice and payment amount, select Pay by Credit Card and select PAY.
- There is typically a convenience fee charged to pay your invoices using a credit card. The amount of the fee will vary based on the payment amount.
- Confirm you accept the fee by selecting ACCEPT or use the CANCEL button to return to the Payment Options page and select a different payment method.
- Complete the Credit Card Payment form and select PAY NOW to process your payment.
- You will receive an APPROVED or DECLINED confirmation.
Partial Payment with Undisputed Balance
To submit a partial payment with an undisputed balance, follow the steps below:
- Select the invoice you wish to pay by selecting the check box in front of its row (If you would like to pay multiple invoices at the same time, select all applicable invoices)
- Select the Payment button, and on the Payment Options page, select the Payment Amount field and adjust the amount.
- Select the applicable reason in the Reason for Partial Payment dropdown to specify the reason you are disputing the remaining balance of the invoice.
- Select the Payment Option (ACH or Credit Card) and select PAY.
Scheduling Future Payments
To schedule a future payment, follow the steps below:
- Select the invoice you wish to pay by selecting the check box in front of its row (If you would like to pay multiple invoices at the same time, select all applicable invoices)
- Select the Payment button and on the Payment Options page select the Payment Option (ACH or Credit Card)
- Select the calendar icon to choose a future date for your payment and select PAY.
Note: Future payment date may be up to 45 calendar days in the future.
Approving an Invoice for Payment
To approve an invoice or invoices for payment, select the “Approved” checkbox on the applicable invoice line as shown below. All approved invoices are summed up in Account Details.
To see which invoices were paid with a specific payment, select the Payment History icon on the side menu bar. The Payment History page shows all payments in chronological order with the most recent at the top. To see the details of the invoices paid by a specific payment, either locate the payment by date and amount or select the Payment ID link. The Payment Application page will show details around how the payment was applied, including if an invoice was short-paid as a result of a dispute in the Comment column.
Canceling Future Payments
If you have recurring payments and would like to cancel the payment from processing before the
scheduled date, from the payment history window:
- Select the Future Payment section and select the Payment ID link.
- Select Cancel Transactions.
- Before the payment is canceled, you will see a message to confirm its removal. If you wish to continue, select YES.
- Once cancelled, the Status on the Future Payments section will indicate Cancelled.
Disputing an Invoice
Select the desired invoice by selecting its checkbox and then select Dispute. If you would like to dispute multiple invoices at the same time, select all applicable invoices before selecting Dispute.
On the Dispute popup:
- Select the reason for your dispute and enter the amount being disputed.
- Add applicable Dispute Notes. Backup documentation can be attached using the Browse or Choose File button (based on your browser). Look for the file on your local computer or network drive and select it.
- Select OK after you have entered all the information and are ready to submit your dispute.
Adding Documentation to Existing Disputes
- Select the desired invoice by checking its checkbox.
- Select "Dispute" or “Disputed.”
- Select Browse or Choose File (based on your browser) and locate the file on your local computer or network drive. Select OK to upload the file. The next time anyone reviews the dispute, they will see the attached information as shown.
Viewing Communications
Every piece of correspondence sent by the system is retained in Communication History. To see a log and copies of communications sent via email or fax:
- Select Communication History in the side menu bar. The Communication History page will show a chronological list of every correspondence sent on
the account. - Select “>” in the View column to display an exact copy of the communication sent by the system.
- The Invoice # column references the actual invoice number that was sent. If the word “Multi” is displayed, select “>” to see a list of invoice numbers included in the zip file emailed by the system.
- Ext Message column may show additional results for any failed correspondence when available.
Resend an Invoice
You can request to resend any invoice that was emailed or faxed by the system:
- Select Communication History in the side menu bar.
- Locate the desired invoice in the Invoice # column and checkmark its column.
- Select Resend and confirm your action by selecting OK to complete the request. The invoice will be resent within 15 minutes. If this is a Zip file with multiple invoices, the Zip file will be reprocessed at 8:00pm Eastern Time.
Tip: Resending Communications to a New Address
If you've updated your contact information in the User Preferences, updates may take time to get approved. Select the refresh icon on the top right of Account Details to confirm if the new contact details have taken effect. Once information is updated, follow the steps to Resend an Invoice or Resend a SHUT/TRIPS report as applicable.
Resend SHUT/Trips Report
You can request to resend any SHUT/Trips report that was emailed or faxed by the system.
- Select Communication History in the side menu bar.
- Locate the desired report referencing the Invoice # and Description of Shut.
- Place a checkmark in the Select column.
- Select Resend and confirm your action by selecting OK to complete the request. The SHUT report will be resent within 15 minutes. If this is a Zip file with multiple SHUT reports, the Zip file will be reprocessed at 8:00pm Eastern Time.

Common Questions
Can I pay multiple invoices at the same time?
Yes. You can select multiple invoices and submit a single payment for all selected items.
Can I make a partial payment on an invoice?
Yes. You can adjust the payment amount and select a reason for partially paying the invoice. This allows you to dispute the remaining balance.
Can I schedule a payment for a future date?
Yes. You can schedule a payment up to 45 calendar days in advance using either ACH or credit card.
Can I cancel a scheduled or recurring payment?
Yes. You can cancel a future payment before its scheduled date by selecting the payment in the Future Payments section and choosing Cancel Transactions.
How do I dispute an invoice?
Select the invoice, choose “Dispute,” and provide a reason, disputed amount, and any supporting notes or documentation. You can submit disputes for one or multiple invoices at the same time.
Can I add documentation to an existing dispute?
Yes. You can upload additional files to an existing dispute at any time by selecting the invoice and attaching the documentation.
What should I do if I updated my contact information but don’t see it reflected?
Allow time for updates to be approved. You can refresh your Account Details to check if the new information has taken effect before resending communications.
Where can I view past communications about my account?
All system-generated communications are stored in the Communication History section, where you can view copies of emails and faxes sent.
