Accessing Driver Inspection Documents Step-By-Step Guide Reviewing Driver Inspection Reports Tip: Driver Inspection Reports Common Questions What is a disposition of a defect? Where are a vehicle's defect updates displayed? How do I view the disposition of defects for a vehicle?

When a driver checks in to the shop using the RyderGyde™ Mobile app, Kiosk in the Shop, or rydergyde.com/checkin, defects are noted and sent to the shop, and a driver inspection is created.

Prior to the work being done, the defects will show an open status. Once the technician repairs the vehicle, then the defects will be dispositioned to either be repaired or be deferred. The shop defect is dispositioned and transmitted to the Ryder eDVIR hub. We now support showing driver inspections with defects from the TSPs in Vehicle Details.

Accessing Driver Inspection Documents

Step-By-Step Guide

For a quick checklist on viewing driver inspection documents, follow the steps:

  1. Log in to rydergyde.com.
  2. Navigate to Vehicles > Fleet.
  3. Search for your vehicle number and navigate to Actions > View Details. Alternatively, select the unit number and open the vehicle's information.
  4. Navigate to the Maintenance tab > Driver Inspections tile.
  5. Open the inspection to view the defects.

The inspection report is then updated and available on RyderGyde™ and the integrated TSP. The completed eDVIR is visible to the driver and fleet manager on both platforms.

Reviewing Driver Inspection Reports

Once you've accessed a report, you'll find a comprehensive overview of the vehicle's condition and driver feedback. Each report is meticulously organized to help you quickly identify potential issues and maintenance needs. Here’s what you can expect to find:

  • Defect Summary: A list of any detected defects, categorized by severity. This section ensures that any critical issues are immediately brought to your attention for swift resolution.
  • Driver Notes: Personal observations and remarks from the driver, providing essential insights into the vehicle's performance and any anomalies experienced during the trip.
  • Inspection Details: A detailed breakdown of the inspection process, including date, time, and location, ensuring all aspects of the vehicle are thoroughly checked.
  • Maintenance Recommendations: Suggestions from the maintenance team based on the inspection findings, guiding you on necessary actions to ensure vehicle safety and efficiency.
